Michael Hurrell has been designing custom paint finishes for more than 10 years on the East and West Coasts. He specializes in designer and faux paint finishes on walls, furniture and cabinetry. Through his work, he has found a way to combine his artistic talent and passion with a traditional vocation.
Whether painting a mural, designing a wall finish or creating a fresh look for a furniture piece, Michael combines principles from his formal art education and his skills as a professional painter to create a high quality, enduring work of art that is both functional and decorative.
Working with his clients to bring their ideas to life, Michael can create a room that subtly complements existing elements or that dramatically sets the tone for furniture and decor.
Holding a bachelor's degree in art, Michael continues to study everything from the ancient art of lost-wax bronze casting to computer-aided graphic design. It is this combination of skills that makes his work unique.
As a commissioned artist, Michael works with a variety of mediums, including bronze, plaster, acrylic, watercolor, and ink to create original artwork.
Michael’s most recent work includes private commissions of life-size bronze statues of a boy and a girl and a 7-ft. trophy fish.
